  I think that if people are familiar with the quote, reading the shirt shouldn't be a difficulty.

• I think the reason people feel overwhelmed is because of the close-up way it's presented. But if you look at the shirt on the model it's actually quite clear that the design has to do with collaboration towards a goal.
  
  It's sort of a two-for-one deal! You get a clear, visually pleasing first impression, and then when you look closer you get lots of surprise details that give the design life.

• You're right, it is bad taste. Just because Christianity is a dominant religion doesn't mean it's okay... Just think if the design involved a rabbi instead of a nun.
