Any Tips On Shoe Art?

Hi there threadless community, just a quick question for anyone who wants to respond.

Does anyone have any good tips for drawing on shoes? I've been google-searching all morning and haven't found anything too informing... so, anyone know what's good? I'm looking for suggestions for styles of shoes (i know chucks are good, but still, there must be more out there), materials, ect. Whatever is good, just leave a comment, it'd be much appreciated.

white vans slip ons are better, i think.

here's some custom shoes sonmi did. she did them in sharpie.

theurbanraptor has also made a pair.

You should ask either of them.

ive been wanting to make custom shoes for a while but im too lazy, got with vans slip ons or anything made of the same canvas material, ive heard the art wont last on other types
