that picture was taken in 2005, so unfortunately they've all passed on now, but i ended up keeping two of them, who each lived 3 years, and found homes for the rest. there were 11 babies total!
I read a paper about those bats. There is a trade-off between testicle size and brain size in that species. So dumber males have bigger testes. It all sort of evens out because the big-brained males can probably court more females, while the big-balled males just get lucky a few times and the volume of their sperm washes out any other male's sperm.
