about Empire

Hey,

Welcome to my profile
' ....so lets get the boring stuff out of the way'

I recently completed a B.A. (Hons) in Sequential Illustration, validated by the University of Bath.

A little bit of Adam inspired art history, though I like to push myself and create innovative design.

I have been influenced throughout my creative life by music past and present, and the imagery associated with it. Particularly, the work of Mike D’Antonio, his digital collage has inspired and driven my techniques using digital photography and mixed media techniques, the Riddick brothers Michael and Mark with the atmospherics they bring alive in their works, with the use of Adobe photoshop. I also like the stark visuals Paul Jackson( of Johnny Truant fame) uses within his clothing design. My design work which is in response to a wide range of themes current political agendas, and goes through to cover many aspects of life love, loss, revenge, horror, betrayal, joy, expectance and humour.

My working experience so far equates to

-a brief period in October ‘99 as an Art Department runner at Shepperton Studios on the Home Box Office production "Band Of Brothers"

-I was also drafted to submit some design work for the art department on the production “Breaking and Entering” July ‘05.

-I have some published work also, firstly I designed a poster for UCAS, a poster aimed at advertising the course I was on for new students at the yearly UCAS/Higher Education fair in London.
Available at,

-I also have had some photography published within an American Publication 'Hardcore Ink", some examples of this photography are available at

I have an online portfolio available at:

um... what's this blog about? Are you trying to validate your design with a list of accomplishments or are you attempting to show off?

chill man its just incase anyone who may have cared didnt have to ask.
Totally unrelated to the design just wanted to give people a insight to my grounding showing I got other styles, sorry I broke the rules....
I'm hoping good things come from putting design up on here, didnt want to show off on my first post...maybe in three or four posts time-I'm kidding. This stand offish attitude is probably why I don't usually blog
