HO HO HOLIDEALS! THREADLESS HOLIDAY SALE! Which means...it's time for a giveaway! If you don't know what I'm talking about, take a quick peek at my previous blog! Is there a tee or print you really want? :D

Send me an email by Tuesday, November 24, 2009 (11:15am, PST) and you could get a free Threadless tee OR print! It's that easy! Wahoo! I'll be picking 15 emailers at random tomorrow afternoon (11:30am, PST) and then ordering.

• You can ONLY choose ONE of the two:
- a $12 tee
- an art print

• My email address is: jess4002 [at] gmail [dot] com
• In the subject, put down: Happy Holideals!
• In the body of your email, please give me your:
- Threadless username
- first and last name
- complete mailing address (including country)
- phone number (don't worry, I won't call you or anything, haha)
- the tee or print you would like
- the tee size you would like

If you do win, I'll copy and paste some parts of the order confirmation and email it to you.

YAY! Good luck and check back here to see if you're a winner. I'll be doing this again next week! Happy Holidays, everyone! :)

The Short Version | When the Threadless Holiday sale launches, I have a $1275.24 Threadless gift certificate that I want to spend. Not on me. On you guys. One tee or print per person until my GC runs out. But, I don't know how I should do it. A random draw? The first 65-85 people to email me? To comment on a blog? To ring my doorbell? I want this to be easy, fair and simple and I would love to hear your suggestions/thoughts. How should I give away my Threadless GC?

The Long Version | Over the past couple of years, I've been saving up my Threadless gift certificates. These gift certificates have been from contests/giveaways on blogs, websites...from Threadless such as Spoiler Alert, RJSFPCF...from the Threadless community...and from my two TypeTees. I've been asking Threadless to combine my gift certificates and right now, I have a $1275.24 GC sitting around. The Threadless Holiday Sale will begin in a few weeks and I think it's the perfect time to use it. I made up my mind when I saw that gift certificates expire five years from the issue date, which means my GC can't sit around forever. I am aware that I could sell the GC...or go on a huge shopping spree...or buy tees and put them on eBay...or get something from Naked & Angry...etc, etc, etc...but I love the Threadless community and I want to spend it on you guys. 2009 has been a pretty interesting year for me at Threadless and it makes sense to spend it now. During the sale, you guys can pick a $5 tee, a $10 tee or a print. So, I'll be able to give a free tee/print to ~65-85 people depending on where it's shipped to, how many people choose a $5 or a $10 tee, etc. I think there'll be $5 tees during the sale, but if not, that's okay too. How should I give away my GC? Or, in other words, how should I "choose" who gets a free tee or print?

At the moment | I'm thinking of making a blog on the first day of the sale and I don't know...the first 35 people to email me will get a free tee/print? Then, the next Monday or Tuesday, I'll make another blog and people can email me what they want until my GC runs out? There are a few things that I don't like about this method and that's why I want to hear your suggestions/thoughts.

StreetTeam points | As for StreetTeam points, I'm going to STP the people in Becca's Never Been STPd? (list of STP virgins) blog, STP a handful of people from Kelsi's STP Underdogs / Unsung Heroes blog and then I'll see from there. I'll probably make a list of people and use RANDOM.ORG.

Secret Santa 2009 | If you're participating in Secret Santa 2009 and you do win a free tee/print from me...err, maybe try to pick a new tee that launches during the sale or a tee that wasn't in your SS email/survey. I don't want your SS to get you the tee you want and then I send you the same tee! ;)

Deck the Halls | with boughs of holly, Fa la la la la, la la la la.

Straws - Threadless T-shirts, Nude No More

My first design submission and with it, my first "Guess the score" blog! Guess the score and win a $50 Threadless gift certificate regardless if it prints or not!

Price Is Right rules: the closest without going over wins. If everyone goes over, the closest to the actual score wins. The winner will need to give me his/her e-mail address and then the $50 GC will be sent out. Yay!

Vote and comment on it if you want. Thank ya!

 - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

Gosh, I'm floatin' on air right now! Thank you to the Threadless community, you guys are all so, so supportive and awesome! A special thank you to bcrider, Jemae and quister - you three are amazing. I want to thank the staff at Threadless for picking another slogan of mine! My second TypeTee (incredible job on the custom typeface, Sam) looks spooky amazing! Wow!

I came up with this slogan after listening to my local country music radio station. I got tired of hearing the mountain climber, Miley Cyrus, sing about climbing, so I had to switch to the country station.

They were playing Merle Haggard's "In My Next Life" and in the song, he sings, "In my next life, I want to be your hero." It got me thinking, what do I want to be in my next life? A butterfly? A chef? A Christmas tree? Nah, not realistic. I mean, in my next life, I'll probably rise from the dead and become a zombie...or somebody will dig up my corpse and make me into a robot...or I'll still be here, but as a ghost. Oh! Also, I was re-reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix at this time, and in the last chapter when Harry is talking to Nearly Headless Nick about people coming back as ghosts, that was drifting around in the back of my head.

So, what do I want to be in my next life? In my next life, I want to be a ghost.

Audience: Boo! Boo!
Mr. Burns: Smithers, are they booing me?
Smithers: Uh, no, they're saying, "Boo-urns! Boo-urns!"
Mr. Burns: [stands and faces the audience] Are you saying "Boo" or "Boo-urns"?
Audience: Boo! Boo!
Hans Moleman: I was saying "Boo-urns"...

Who | Whom.

What | Slogans by anyone and everyone I could think of/find.

Where | In my dreams.

When | The past week or so.

Why | I was bored when I was studying for final exams and decided to do a fun entry for Ross and Joe's Super Fun Photoshop Challenge of Fun 4. After making Charles Festa Week, I wanted to see what my slogans would look like on a TypeTee. I tried and I failed. I don't know what happened next, but I started to find slogans. I found all the slogans that were already designed and as you will see, the rest of the slogans are "done" by me.

How | Wandering the Threadless site in search of slogans and Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended.

The Point? | This question will probably be running through your head: what's the point of this blog? This blog is not exactly a slogan pimping blog. I'm not going to provide a list of the slogans/sloganeers. If you love or hate a slogan, you can go search and vote for it. I wanted to see what the slogans would look like on a tee and well, I've always been a visual person. I could've easily compiled a list of slogans, but lists are sometimes overwhelming to look at. So, the point: I was bored and I decided to waste my time doing this. Yes, I know that some slogans look terrible, plain and repetitive. My apologies...I wish I had spacesick's skillz, haha. Oh! What you will see is NOT REAL. NOT REAL NOT REAL. Also, it's kind of a big file (11.1 MB).

Final Message | Finding a fantastic slogan and making it look great on a tee is HARD. Hats off to the staff at Threadless who choose and design the TypeTees (as well as the many designers who are chosen by Threadless to do a TypeTee).

Instructions | Get comfortable and be ready to read because you'll be here for a while. Click the image below (it'll open in a new window) and enjoy the 400 TypeTees.

I know that's not the most creative title for a blog, but those are the only two words that are running through my head right now. I'll start from the beginning and of course, it has to be the 365 Days of Slogans and the Official Slogan Club. I decided to challenge myself with the 365 Days of Slogans, which was started by martiandrivein, and wasn't even thinking about the possibility of being printed. Thank you to everyone who pops in and checks out my slogan blog: by voting, leaving comments, suggestions, notes and random pictures (you know who you are).

Thank you to the entire Threadless community...voters, designers, sloganeers, wanderers, bloggers and especially, my fellow 365 sloganeers, for all your continuous support. A humongous thanks to the seven sloganeers who decided to pimp/mention my slogans (brentendo, courtney pie, FRICKINAWESOME, jaywalkergraphics, Retroludo, rossmat8, TimScribble) and the two designers who made an appreciation blog for me way back when (alexmdc, NomadSlim). Also, thank you to NiNTH WHEEL, FRICKINAWESOME, Simpletinrobot and alexmdc for posting the early congrats blogs! You guys have no idea how much these blogs mean to me.

Lastly, but not leastly, I want to thank the awesome staff at Threadless for even picking one of my slogans. My first TypeTee looks absolutely PINKtastic!

So, what's the story behind this particular slogan? In my mind, the following scenario can happen absolutely anywhere, but if I had to pick one place, it would be a dimly lit bar. Two dudes are sitting at a table and trash talking each other. After a couple of minutes, one of them has had enough and stands. He raises his voice and shouts, "What's your problem?! You wanna fight me?!" The other one stands, stares him right in the eye and growls, "I only fight if pillows are present."

Cheesy story, haha, but I just imagined the craziest scenarios and that's how I came up with this slogan. You guys have always thanked ME for all the support/bumping I do, but you know what? It's time for me to thank YOU. I love you guys.

As part of the OSC Big Pimpin' Project, we were asked to pick two slogans, one from an unprinted sloganeer AND one from a printed sloganeer or anybody. I decided to choose the courtney pie and the againstbound. So, after deciding on two terrific slogans, well: it's time to pimp them and get them noticed! So, vote, people, vote!

courtney pie | I Can't Foresee The Future, That's What My Magic 8 Ball Is For.

againstbound | Bullets are my kryptonite.
