I had this strange impression that Threadless awarded creativity.

haha, I even said it was Fullbleed-ish on my comment that Threadless for some reason put on the winning notification of this design! I don't think it's the same at all, just a similiar idea, but with Matheus's sweet spin on the whole thing. If anything, I hoped Mahiole would put an extra topping of concept on top of his already awesome idea, but I'm still buying it because i can't resist shit like this.

Also, sonmi, is that the new loves contest? That would be awesome! I'm getting my clip art and skull designs out for this one.

... I only saw this fullbleed design after frickingawesome comment on my design. I think they look similar, but the concepts, for me are totally differente. Mine is painting white clouds, trying to make a "bealtifull day" for everyone (thats why it calls the optimistic), the fullbleed on its painting the sky with red, which ,for me its more related with angry, violence, hate, than a positive thinking. Aesthetically speaking, i was inspired by Banksy ;)

I think the two designs are extremely different. Really, the only elements shared by both designs are... ladders, painting and sky. Don't mind the fact that they are communicating completely different messages or anything, the fact that they have three commonalities MUST mean this is art theft...right?

Don't be a jerk.

Now, to say something positive. I greatly prefer the Optimist design. I think it's the nice use of texture that gets to me. Keep up the good work, Mathiole!

How are these two designs different? hahahaha

I'm not suggesting mathiole stole at all, a lot of people have similar designs and can execute them with a very similar look, I'm just amused that you say extremely different.

Fauxhat, you MUST be joking.

For two shirts to share three design elements, as you stated (standing on a ladder painting something in the sky) and call them extremely different is just ridiculous. Two *EXTREMELY* different shirt designs would be "This Is My Jetpack" and "The Community Party," because they share absolutely nothing. When you think in terms of all the possible design element choices, the two sky-ladder-painting designs are so close it's not even funny. Are there slight differences? Obviously, but extremely different? Give me a break.

Rob Dobi not only has an established history of this style of artwork, but he has had practically this exact same design for sale on his website for years now. Threadless, do the right thing and take this down.

Thanks Mathiole for making a design I've seen and loved before into something I would actually wear on a T. Its a sweet shirt; I bought it.

QQ factor is in the 10's now. Congrats drama queens.

Well, I'm buying Mathiole's design and not the fullbleed one.

So that's how they're different.

Both designs are obviously inspired by Banksy. Why don't you baw at everyone who has created monochromatic figures painting on a wall? Fun thread. Joined just to post.

I got so many compliments wearing this shirt today, and I love the electric blue it's printed on, and how big it's printed on the tee.

Oh wait, this is supposed to be a "you suck for ripping off so and so and threadless rewards lazy designs" blah blah blahg.
