silly dream

i've been a bit under the weather the past couple days and i've been sleeping a lot...but not a deep sleep, so i've been having oddish dreams. one i remember best would the one where there was a big, windy thunderstorm that blew some animals from the STL zoo into our front yard. we returned them all except for a cute wee penguin (seems like we were eventually going to return him)...anyway...he was very small and very cute. we fed him tuna and filled up some rubbermaid storage totes for him to swim in. he had these little yellow feathers on his head and they kept falling off so we kept putting them back on his head.......that's all i remember at the moment.

i heard a story a while back about a kid who stole a penguin from the zoo once on a school excursion. smuggled it home in his backpack and his parents found him playing with it in the bath. it's probably bullshit.

at the STL zoo penguins certainly do get within arms reach... it can be tempting. they're just so darn cute
