I've listened to this cover of "Fuck & Run" 64 times this week.

I got it free on the Cassettes Won't Listen myspace site*, but this link is from The Music Slut.
I WANT LETTERS AND SODA!

I can feel it in my bones... ;)

I'm trying to guess which one, and the whole imagery is just awkward.

Unless you're in a sexy track team.

Whichever. I'd be too exhausted after either to follow it with the other.

You'd be to exhausted to do the later after running, but you'd do it anyway.

ahhahah, this was so the soundtrack to my life in '97,

but i can't help but be partial to the liz phair version...
PacificLight
PacificLight on Aug 25 '07 at 6:41pm
Haha you're the second person to say that... I guess it helps that I'd never heard the Liz Phair version prior to hearing this.

But seriously it's sooooo 1997... Or like something Chumbawamba would have made if they mated with Sugar Ray. I live for 1997 - 1998.

The original is kind of one of my favorite songs of all time, so this version kinda zaps Liz Phair's mesmerizing tone and desperation from it, but still it's a worthy listen! I have no idea on earth how you listened to this 64 times tho! You should win some type of award...i can't listen to ANY song that many times in a week..the closest i came in the last few years was Morningwood's "Nth Degree" because man that song is pure pop perfection. The album's good too.

Fuck and Run, for real, is one of my favorite all time songs. For a long time Exile In Guyville was my (non-Beatles) desert album and a lot of it was due to that track. I can't believe how many other people feel the same...especially a couple of other dudes.

slightly off topic : I play, occasionally, in a folk duo that does covers of hardcore rap songs and really, really cheesed out self written folk songs - the sole intention to just be amusing, of course. I really, really, really wanted to perform Liz's HWC but my musical partner didn't have the stones to do it.

Also, "Canary" and "Flower" were quite awesome to sing along to and feel the pain of.

I also love "Dogs of L.A." from her underrated second album...I just love the flow of the song and its cyclical pattern.

starr226, that would have been amazing, too bad your partner wussed out.

And yeah, haha, I'm always slightly surprised when guys admit to liking Liz Phair. Or Lisa Loeb. Which is often.

I already admitted that Lisa Loeb's Tails is one of my favorite nearly-perfect pop albums. hehehe...I was all about the sensitive chick songstresses in my youth. No more tho...it's all blood and Rob Zombie nowadays!!! I'M THE BOGGIEMAN BEEYOTCH!

She was asking if I was on the camiseteria.com com site, and I said that I was not... I don't design, only slogans. So I asked if that site does slogans too, but it does not. I got off my lazy bum and checked.

Yaaaay gütter.
