I'm particularly glad that he finally gave up after the guy exclaimed FIRST. I've never understood why anyone would be proud to be glued to a fucking website hitting refresh so often that being able to exclaim FIRST has replaced the animalistic need for breeding and ejaculating.

Papaprime: i AM Mr. Show! i've seen them do Mr. Show live, had all their shows on various forms of bootlegged vhs and DVDs before all the shows came out all nice and shiny, had a Globochem sticker on my old car, have the making of the show book AND named the cat I owned with two roomates of equal obbsession with the show Famous Mortimor, after the name the guys at Mr. Show put as the director for nearly all of their fake videos and movies in the show.



So i love/hate you even more now, Paps!

OMG PacificLight....outside of The Simpsons, Mr. Show is my most favorite thing that television has ever produced. It is by far and away one of the most influential shows in terms of modern comedy as well. there were only 27 episodes of it on HBO, but each one blows your mind inside out and then implodes whatever remains. Every sketch in an episode flows into the next one, and lots of times something from the beginning sketch comes back around to blow you away. Seriously, no show has ever really hit upon the insanity and abstract nature of modern life in sketch form as well and as dead-on as this show. Plus, it's amazing with or without drugs. No sketch comedy has eclipsed it since....here's a few great clips to get you started, but you really just need to go buy the whole Mr. Show DVD package series for like 50 bucks and experience this show over and over and over.



This is the amazing 80's inspired ending to a megaskit that starts ten minutes before.





A perfect send-up of political commercials.





By the way, they also have the best satire of modern news before The Daily show got so good at it. this clip is just plan old old-school funny.
