Dear Threadless:
I love you. Seriously, I do. But . . . Why are the girlie XL's so sooooo small? I feel paranoid. Is it to ensure Threadless will only adorn our cute waifey friends? I can't believe that's true. It must be that we haven't made you hear us. Please understand, Threadless. It isn't easy for us girls to talk about this. While we openly rebel against society's constraints, we still cower before Fashion's Skinny Eye. Do you know I've chafed my beautiful swervey hips, switching pants and skirts over and over, tryin' to find just the right height waistband to go with my Flowers In the Attic girlie?! These are XL's of which we speak. But they would barely fit a 12 year old, not to mention a SIZE 12. I am not fat. And I know for a fact I'm not the only female who feels this way about your Girlie T's. About OUR Girlie T's. Please, Threadless, give our bosom a little space. We have big hearts. And err...you know. I love you. Seriously. XO bec P.S. The Guys Medium which I occasionally buy just for a switch does NOT fit the same way, and does not look right with skirts. It's boxier and baggier than the girlie. So the solution is NOT to simply buy a guy's shirt instead. I'm still purchasing Girlie XL's -- in fact I bought two today, with my fingers crossed they won't shrink too much in the dryer. |
