In no particular order:
- Don't be a BITCH! - Being businessmen/detectives with Mike. - "Oh my gawsh, are you part of a plaid convention???" - Annahandholds. At any given opportunity. I luh you! - Bucket list item: singing "The Knife" with Mike. - At Buffalo Exchange: "Hey, Kayce find me something good." - Singing No Doubt at karaoke, even though we were supposed to sing Aerosmith, and then realizing later that we were apparently very annoying. - Late night/morning talks with Halfpizza guys. - Omair withdrawals and attempting to substitute as Omair but failing. - Joe. Especially Joe telling everyone about 20 year old me at the 2008 meetup. I guess that last one is the most telling of how I feel about this year's meetup. The way I've grown as a person and the way I've progressed, it's all been so facilitated by the people I've met through Threadless. I think I'm utterly hopeless. Seeing you all once a year just isn't enough for me. I guess it's my fault for investing so much of myself, putting so much of my heart into other people's hands. I can't really express how much of an effect (and affect) you all have on me because I'm still that "shy, emo kid" (Joe's words) from three years ago, and maybe I always will be that kid, but thanks to you all, I'm also the guy who can't help but laugh at Omair's bad accents and sing silly songs and make fun of Jeff enough to show him I care and impulsively hold [insert your name here]'s hand and stare up, past the tall skyscrapers, into the Chicago night, and just feel right about where I am and how much I love the people I'm with. Edit: Here's a compilation of video I took. Yes, I realize that there are like the same 10 people in it, but this was more about my experience, less about "CHICAGO!", if you know what I mean, and I forgot to take out my camera Saturday night and all of Sunday, so there's a big chunk of my trip that's just gone. Also, sorry about the fluctuating volumes. I got lazy and didn't feel like messing with the volume of each clip. Threadless Chicago 2010 from Alvin Park on Vimeo.
