it means that the negative space around My Three Sons can look like trees, if the socks they are wearing appear to be a forest scene.

Is the t-shirt black or brown as the original design shows a brown background, which I prefer if I have to be honest?

I really love the design, I just don't understand what about it is the great american hunter.

i've heard that a lot. here's what I had in mind when I did this: the girl and her socks are peaceful and happy, the older boy in the middle is the mediator who makes himself the target and the right hand boy is the middle child, the rebel..on his socks are a pack of wolves and he has a tattoo of an eagle, the hunters. in hindsight, I thought about putting in a hunter instead of wolves on the rebel's socks, but I liked how this looks.



as for the deer being split and seperated, yea, i know it's a problem for some people, but i liked how it played with both layers of meaning...is it two deer or the pattern on two socks?



i thought about the My Three Sons thing when i did the first sketch, but i really didn't care. there's more than enough room in the universe for two images to use a similar composition.
