Ok, so I bought this shirt. And I love it. But it shrunk in a sort of weird way, it's a bit too wide and almost too short. Ordinarily, I would just take it in on the sides to make it fit width-wise, but because of the location of the print I can't do that. Anyone have any ideas for something I could create out of this shirt without ruining the image?

you know, there's a guy that just posted a blog about this shirt that said the same exact thing...I wish I could help you, but I know jack shit about clothes alterations.

Maybe you can make a pillow out of the shirt?

Leave the image intact, find another fabric or use the rest of the shirt for a backing, cut both into a square, sew-up the sides, stuff with some fluff you can buy at a craft store, and vwall-ah, a nice throw pillow.
: )

I really want this shirt, but after reading all of the size issues, I'm not sure.

I just got mine.... I hope mine doesn't end up having that problem...

I don't know what to say about alterations-- The best idea I read was a pillow case... but that would be a bummer if you had to-

maybe you can cut it out really roughly and stitch it on with big stitches so it looks like its done on purpose. idk really.

Some good suggestions here.. I thought about making it a pillow, but I really want to wear it. Maybe I will end up cutting it out and sewing it onto something else. A bag, maybe?

Whenever I reconstruct shirts, I always buy a blank in a matching color so you have extra fabric to work with. That would help in this case since it's too short.

You could make a cute babydoll style top outta this one since the print is at the bottom. Use another shirt to make the top part and use this one for the bottom. You could gather it at the bust since it's too wide. I did this with Who Am I? I could post a picture later maybe if you wanna see :)

That would be sweet, thanks!
I might give it a try.
