about What Would Macgyver Do?

This week I was on holidays in melbourne and I went into a shop called Dr Moose on Bridge Rd, that just sells printed t-shirts. I found two Threadless rip-offs - 'what would mcgyver do' and 'obi one christ'....I was so pissed off I left the store but I bet they had even more Threadless rip-offs! I wish I had confronted the guy in the shop now. Does this happen a lot? Is it too hard to do anything about cos Threadless are in the US? Anyway, whatever, just make sure you don't buy anything from these evil copiers if you are in Australia!!!!

yeah, you may want to be more pissed at the company that remade it, and (possibly) not the shop owner who bought it unaware of the initial design.

Sure, there are some who are aware of the deal they're getting with a ripped off design, but most just buy cheap shirts, and intellectual theft is the victim.

I have also seen the Dark Side of the garden in the Queen Vic markets in Melbourne.

I am happy to say that in this case I did not buy it. I would have been really pissed off if I had! Now that I know!

I am hoping to start my own t-shirt design company and hoped people may be able to advise how they protect their designs, especially as I hope to sell these via a website?

yes, i myself would love to know how people protect their designs and what to do if someone is profiting from something that was your own original idea?
