Still trying to sort through all the "information" being given out over here in the states. Please tell me, first hand, are you paying 50% of your income in taxes to fund universal healthcare? I've heard in France that is the case, but I believe in France there are other programs included in that amount such as college education? Someone just told me in Britain you pay 50% in taxes for healthcare PLUS people who want better care have to pay out of pocket. They told me their parents lived there for 5 years and their British friend died of breast cancer because she found a lump and had to wait 2 years to be seen. They said people pay for all the other people in line in front of them.
So...input greatly desired! Thanks.
I want to know, I want to hear it first hand from those Threadless users who are British and Canadian...how is your healthcare system working? I'm trying to sort out all the conflicting information being expounded over here...
Haven't been around Threadless too much lately...just wanted to say hi to my old friends! Facebook has become my new Threadless for online social outlet:)
He's about 12 weeks old now. We named him Crouble, which is Cute and Trouble put together! Here's some recent photos and a video! We think he has vegetarian tendencies...
![]() ![]() First post: ![]() He's so sweet, just 8 weeks old. His name is Crouble. That's "Cute" + "Trouble" together:) We have 2 older cats who haven't yet adjusted to the newcomer!
I stole this blog title from Danielle's blog of yesterday--ha ha!!!
Anyway, I noticed Danielle got such good feedback on her question relating to a design that scored low, that I thought I'd ask the same question of Threadless on the following designs. I have the original version and the re-sub...the re-sub actually scored worse. I am in the middle of some projects tonight but will be checking this blog tomorrow so hope to hear some feedback! Thanks guys! ![]()
FYI, the part winding through the rocky soil is the PLANT not the ROOT! The roots are below the seed. The poor, dirty brown (from the soil), persevering plant has worked its way through the rocks and emerged into the sun, where it turns green. Hope this settles the issue on whether it is a "root" or a "worm!!"
Thanks for your comments and scoring the design! Kindly pimp this blog??
I know a lot about Photoshop *I think* but have version 7. Is there a quick easy way I don't know about to take a photo like this and change her tee shirt to turquoise without making it look unnatural without the shading? I can select the whole tee with the wand/shift key until I've got it all, but simply "filling" it with the new color just makes a solid blob. Is there something I don't know about? I'd love to use this girl and the pose as my model, but need the tee to be the Threadless Turquoise. Here's the pic:
![]() Thanks for any help!
In one of my blogs someone linked me to a Flicker thing with about 700+ people modeling blank tee shirts. I accidentally deleted the blog!!! Please, can someone link me again:) Thanks!

Hi, I am a mom of two boys and from my home studio I run a full-time art business. In order to make a living at it (?!?), I offer a variety of services including fine art portraits, watercolor florals, calligraphy, caricature drawing, murals, book illustration, house portraits, custom framing and bridal bouquet preservation! My favorite commissions and work however are the portraits and watercolor florals. In 2006, I illustrated a children's book called The Model Maker: A World War II Veteran's Story.
Over the past months I have become interested in Threadless, it has proven quite addictive! I keep trying different types of designs to see how they will do...it gives me something fun and different to do on the weekends when my kids are gone and I have time on my hands. I previously had not done much pen and ink work of the type I am doing in some of my recent Threadless designs, so I am really enjoying this new medium and am incorporating what I am learning into various aspects of my other commissioned work. I feel like I am learning new things about illustration and design, and that is exciting to me as an artist! I like having my t-shirt versions, and then the large hand-done originals which I can have fun with finishing off in brilliant watercolor washes, not limited to 5 colors with no gradients:) ! I hope you enjoy my work, and I hope to interact more and more within the Threadless community over time.
