Update Aug. 24 Well, my watercolor show had its opening reception yesterday! I sold one framed print already:) Please check it out in the blog! And wish me luck:)
Original PostThis summer I finished 3 more watercolor florals to add to my collection, to prepare for a Watercolor Floral Show I'm doing in August/September. Here they are! Does anyone have any ideas how or whether I should try to do some type of tee shirt design based on my watercolor florals, now that they will print full color simulated process? I don't know if it is worth pursuing! I know I'm better at watercolor florals than I've previously been at Threadless designs--ha ha--but whether florals on tee shirts would go over well is another question! Any thoughts? ![]() ![]() ![]()
I'm bored. Haven't scored many designs lately. I have one beer. I have one hour which I am willing to give to Threadless--ha ha! I have 270 designs that I could possibly score. So in one hour, that gives me a little less than 15 seconds each. I will score first impression, no comments! Can I do it??? We'll see:) I won't check this blog until 12:50 and will keep my nose to the grindstone!!! On my mark, get set, go!!!!!
![]() I saw this in the news, these fish nibble away at dead/calloused skin! They say it tickles:) It costs about $35 for 15 minutes or $50 for a half hour. Has anyone ever tried this? Kind of bizarre...but if I had the expendable money I'd probably try it! I don't...so... Here's a link to the news video Fish That Give You a Pedicure
Why do men do it??
I was sitting at an event tonight watching people go by and counted 5 different guys during the evening suddenly propelling a gob of spit out of their mouths while they were walking along. In one case, the two guys were walking together, one spit first, then his friend had to follow suit. Is it some kind of macho contest? Yuck!!!
I was just thinking about Creepy tonight...anyone else remembering the little guy and missing him?

EWWW!!! I work in the basement...I don't know how it got in there or how it is surviving. I'm going to let it alone and see how big it gets...
Are there going to be prints available or prizes for prints? Didn't see anything on the "submit ideas" page about it...just wondering!
Just came from gas station. At first, noticed previous person spent $95 at the pump and I thought "Wow they must have a big tank."
I begin to pump gas, and when I notice I've hit the $71 mark I glance over at the posted prices...$3.93 a gallon!!!! Oh My!! *hand slowly lets go of gas pump trigger* How much is gas where you are, and where are you? I'm in northern Delaware.
My 14 year old son is "taunting" me with this riddle which he says is very simple, but I am not getting it! Any clues? If you think you get it, post another example...he's here now to say if it's right...
OK, there is a sign that says "Green Glass Doors" and it leads to a paradise but you can only bring certain things through it. You can bring GREEN but not RED You can bring POOL but not WATER You can bring TREE but not BRANCH You can bring WOOD but not METAL You can bring BUTTER but not PEANUTS (He says if you solve it don't immediately blurt it out!!! Just add to the examples)
I just finished this recently...had a lot of fun with it! It was commissioned by the Groom--it's his 5 Groomsmen put into a scene from a Frank Sinatra movie---the original piece was 12 x 16 inches and I made 5 prints for him to give each Groomsman.

Hi, I am a mom of two boys and from my home studio I run a full-time art business. In order to make a living at it (?!?), I offer a variety of services including fine art portraits, watercolor florals, calligraphy, caricature drawing, murals, book illustration, house portraits, custom framing and bridal bouquet preservation! My favorite commissions and work however are the portraits and watercolor florals. In 2006, I illustrated a children's book called The Model Maker: A World War II Veteran's Story.
Over the past months I have become interested in Threadless, it has proven quite addictive! I keep trying different types of designs to see how they will do...it gives me something fun and different to do on the weekends when my kids are gone and I have time on my hands. I previously had not done much pen and ink work of the type I am doing in some of my recent Threadless designs, so I am really enjoying this new medium and am incorporating what I am learning into various aspects of my other commissioned work. I feel like I am learning new things about illustration and design, and that is exciting to me as an artist! I like having my t-shirt versions, and then the large hand-done originals which I can have fun with finishing off in brilliant watercolor washes, not limited to 5 colors with no gradients:) ! I hope you enjoy my work, and I hope to interact more and more within the Threadless community over time.
