Creepy Likes James Taylor Page 2 Creepy Gets His Name From helo and sonmi Page 1 Creepy Likes The Shins Page 1 Creepy *Almost* Set FreePage 1 Original Post: I noticed tonight in my watercolor jar (which had been sitting out with watercolor residue in it for several days) that there was a creepy crawler swimming in the bottom of it! EWWW!!! I work in the basement...I don't know how it got in there or how it is surviving. I'm going to let it alone and see how big it gets...
Are there going to be prints available or prizes for prints? Didn't see anything on the "submit ideas" page about it...just wondering!
Just came from gas station. At first, noticed previous person spent $95 at the pump and I thought "Wow they must have a big tank."
I begin to pump gas, and when I notice I've hit the $71 mark I glance over at the posted prices...$3.93 a gallon!!!! Oh My!! *hand slowly lets go of gas pump trigger* How much is gas where you are, and where are you? I'm in northern Delaware.
My 14 year old son is "taunting" me with this riddle which he says is very simple, but I am not getting it! Any clues? If you think you get it, post another example...he's here now to say if it's right...
OK, there is a sign that says "Green Glass Doors" and it leads to a paradise but you can only bring certain things through it. You can bring GREEN but not RED You can bring POOL but not WATER You can bring TREE but not BRANCH You can bring WOOD but not METAL You can bring BUTTER but not PEANUTS (He says if you solve it don't immediately blurt it out!!! Just add to the examples)
I just finished this recently...had a lot of fun with it! It was commissioned by the Groom--it's his 5 Groomsmen put into a scene from a Frank Sinatra movie---the original piece was 12 x 16 inches and I made 5 prints for him to give each Groomsman.
Please vote and comment if you haven't already, thanks! And if you'd like to guess the score, you can post in this blog. Just for fun...I have no prizes to give:)!
Here is my Re-Sub ![]() (First version which got dropped...) ![]() Well as I mentioned in post below, I plan to re-submit this design by revising it with part of the watercolor version of the original drawing. I just finished scanning and piecing it together, here it is...(the original line drawing was about 20 x 30 inches, and I painted it with watercolor after doing the first Threadless tee version). ![]()
Just saw your tee WON!!!! WOW!!!!!! YAY!!!!! Congrats!
I was off Threadless for about 3 weeks a short while ago...did I miss the announcing of the Threadless Bestee Awards or is that still to come? If announced already, how do I see the winners...you know, like most dedicated blogger, etc.
Any one else out there a Jars of Clay fan?
Here's the lyrics: Faith Enough "The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places" -- from "A Farewell to Arms" by Ernest Hemingway the ice is thin enough for walkin' the rope is worn enough to climb throat is dry enough for talkin' world is crumblin', but i know why world is crumblin', but i know why storm is wild enough for sailing bridge is weak enough to cross this body frail enough for fighting i'm home enough to know i'm lost home enough to know i'm lost Chorus: it's just enough to be strong in the broken places, in the broken places it's just enough to be strong should the world rely on faith tonight land unfit enough for planting barren enough to conceive poor enough to gain the treasure enough a cynic to believe enough a cynic to believe [CHORUS] confused enough to know direction sun eclipsed enough to shine be still enough to finally tremble see enough to know i'm blind see enough to know i'm blind [CHORUS x 2] should the world rely on faith tonight should the world rely on faith tonight tonight tonight tonight tonight tonight Here's a Link if You'd Like to Hear It Not sure how to post a playable link in this blog! I think that the favorite movie blog tonight, coupled with my mood, has put a thought into my head! The movie Forrest Gump was mentioned....
The thought of just getting in my car and driving somewhere, really, really far (ah...don't think i could run like Forrest, he he!) feels appealing to me tonight. Actually my thoughts are a little complicated...I'd like to just take off down to Outer Banks, NC to see my ex-husband's dad and his wife, and take my younger son with me. WHY? WHY would I want to do that? Well, because they still love me. And I've been in a personal family crisis this past month with a situation I can't tell. My ex's dad's wife called me last night, we had such a wonderful talk. I miss them. They are beautiful people. Quite frankly, they can't comprehend my ex, and he's "their" son. Even after the divorce, the man whom I had come to call "Dad" for twenty years so clearly reinforced his love and support for me...he said you'll always be my daughter, always a part of the family. We hope you will still come down. And I have gone down since the divorce...a couple of times...bizarrely enough with my ex-husband included. That's another story...he can't drive long distances...I still wanted him to see his dad and the kids to be with their grandparents, so I chauffered.(sp?) Talk about weird. Anyway, just a thought I had...kind of teared up a bit. It would be nice to see them, and comforting. Maybe I should really think about doing it. But I'm broke, shouldn't even spend the money on the gas, or postpone my work. You know what though, he he he...maybe I should ask my ex for money to go visit his dad and his wife---WITHOUT HIM. So, when have you wanted to do a Forrest Gump? |
Hi, I am a mom of two boys and from my home studio I run a full-time art business. In order to make a living at it (?!?), I offer a variety of services including fine art portraits, watercolor florals, calligraphy, caricature drawing, murals, book illustration, house portraits, custom framing and bridal bouquet preservation! My favorite commissions and work however are the portraits and watercolor florals. In 2006, I illustrated a children's book called The Model Maker: A World War II Veteran's Story.
Over the past months I have become interested in Threadless, it has proven quite addictive! I keep trying different types of designs to see how they will do...it gives me something fun and different to do on the weekends when my kids are gone and I have time on my hands. I previously had not done much pen and ink work of the type I am doing in some of my recent Threadless designs, so I am really enjoying this new medium and am incorporating what I am learning into various aspects of my other commissioned work. I feel like I am learning new things about illustration and design, and that is exciting to me as an artist! I like having my t-shirt versions, and then the large hand-done originals which I can have fun with finishing off in brilliant watercolor washes, not limited to 5 colors with no gradients:) ! I hope you enjoy my work, and I hope to interact more and more within the Threadless community over time.
