Hey all!
I am needing to purchase a scanner to use with my mac. My super old crappy one just died. Anybody have advice on a nice one. I am pretty clueless. Thankyou!

I just have a ~$70 3-in-one HP, but you're probably looking for a super nice one?

I have a 3 in one HP Photosmart C5240 and I love it. It scans nicely, even better than some of the more expensive all in ones I have had that have failed me.

yeah I agree with Brett, my epson 3490 has been a rockstar, even has the ability to scan my old slides.

cool, I have heard great things about epsons. I have had a lexmerk in the past that was pretty good. Scanning slides would be super nice too!

I love my Epson too! I've had it for years. It's always been good to me.

I have a Canon Lide too, and it's been great. If you can afford it though, I'd definitely get a large format scanner- that would make my life a lot easier

Large format scanners are like thousands of dollars, right?

if you have something large it might be easiest to set up a cheap copy stand and take a photo.

Yes! With detailed linework, seaming can be so annoying!

oh yeah, unfortunately I do not have the cash for a large format. Doomed for seaming stuff together for sure!

Thanks all for the input!

I am now the proud owner of a "Epson V200 Perfection Scanner" pretty affordable! Now to do some drawings to scan before it is delivered =)
