Actually, I hate free money.

As Ivie says, the two things you don’t want to get me talking about are Catholicism and Football. Not unless you want to hear me talk for the rest of the night, that is. I support and admire lots of things that aren't quite mainstream, like Southern Culture, anti-feminism, Austrian Economics, the logical tradition, and Catholicism. Also, I am addicted to fantasy football, and have been a die-hard Rams fan since I was 10.
I adore good food. I love things that are innovative and fresh, and respect the ingredients, allowing their flavors to really shine. I harbor fantasies of leaving my life as an IT consultant and becoming a chef (I’m allergic to a staple food, however, so this will probably never happen).
I have recently become obsessed with knitting, Scottish Terriers and the prepared vegan food at Whole Foods. I like covertly playing with glitter glue, and making paper snowflakes (LOVE snowflakes). In my spare time, I crochet, make origami, and take naps. I also like going on weekend getaways. Most of all, I like cuddling up under the sheets at home when it's cold outside and reading. I like light novels, business profiles, knitting books, and physics books, because I really am that nerdy. I play the dorkiest possible type of games—single player fantasy RPGs (yay for NWN!), I like crossword puzzles that are to difficult for me to finish, and bumming around at art museums on the weekends (especially if there is modern or Asian art on display). Maybe if I’m feeling self-indulgent, I’ll rent a movie and watch that.

In a good design I look for a lot of things.
1) Is the art tight and polished looking? If there are problems with the lines looking sloppy or the proportions being off, for example, I will not give it a full score.
2) Is the design fresh and original? I basically never vote for the generic emo flowing lines and pretty ladies stuff—paisley and stars and such. I want something that doesn’t look like 20,000 other submissions.
3) For the most part, I think that designs need to have some thought behind them, they can’t just be pretty. If they are just pretty, they have to be VERY pretty, and I don’t think many 5-color shirt designs can get that sophisticated aesthetically. In short, it’s very hard for me to like a shirt if there isn’t something more to it.
4) I also dislike anything off-color. I don’t want to wear anything I wouldn’t want kids seeing.

So here is what my scores mean.
$5—I can’t live without this shirt. I only give this to shirts that I would buy as soon as printed.
5—The shirt is very good and meets all my expectations but either the subject or colors just make it not for me. I can probably see a bunch of friends who I would by it for.
4—There is a lot good about this shirt, and I might by it for someone else who the design is better for, but there is very little chance I’d ever get it for myself. Likely either the art or the concept is lacking something, but not both.
3—Looks like a good first draft, but I have problems with both the art and concept, or a major problem with either. I would not get this shirt for anyone.
2—I think there is some value in this shirt, but it will require a ton of work by the designer to get me to think about buying it.
1—I see some good in the shirt, but I think is should not be printed without a near complete rework.
0—I would never wear this shirt. (I give more 0’s than anything else.)
