... that I logged back into Threadless to share that fact with the world. And it may be my first purchase here again in fucking aaaages. Awesome job!

... if you're one of those people like me who try to do interesting ones, what's the main thing you think about? How flattering the photo is to you, how good the photo is compositionally/thematically/whatever, or how much of the tee design gets in?

I've been thinking about this recently due to uploading a massive amount of pics as an attempt to dull the painful blow of the financial crisis, as I always take a couple of pics of each shirt so I can pick afterwards.

I think I'm getting increasingly artsy with these things. For example, my pic for The Ravens Cry is not all that flattering - I look dead-eyed and creepy - but so do the girls on the tee, so I picked it because it felt more in sync with the tee.

Just uploaded a pic for The Green Fairy... Took two photos, one with flash and one without.

The one with flash definitely gives a clearer shot of the design... but the darker one just feels like a better, more fitting picture, even though you can barely see the fairy. I picked the darker one - what would you have done?

Am I mad for thinking so hard about my STP pics? It's a lot of work for $1.50 (even though $1.50 is worth more than before :p). I probably expended far too much effort on this, but damn it, I had fun:

Right. Should be getting to bed now. Fervently hoping my points come in in time for me to buy the shirts I want, as they're selling out very fast...

... if I buy it I think I'll have to get fabric pens and turn the comma into a colon.

It's a great shirt, but the comma would annoy me.

I've been awake since 9:30am. It's now 2pm and I have still not packed ANYTHING and I am supposed to be going home today. All I've done is organised my folder of lecture notes.

I blame the internet, completely. SO. DISTRACTING.

It doesn't help that I have no suitcases, so all my stuff is going in supermarket bags...

Oh, also - Threadless is conspiring to make me spend money I don't have. :( So many great new prints! I have £13 in my bank account right now and can't remember if I have an overdraft. Submitting an unholy amount of STP pics (should have another $6 on Monday when my most recent ones go up) and cut my cart down to 3 but still can't buy the Threadlessy goodness I desire. Sigh.

What's the greatest/worst thing the internet has done for you? AND/OR share your horror stories of packing. I hate packing so much.

... frantically uploading STP photos so they can afford a massive bundle of sale tees?

I've been scouring my old photos for pics of me (or friends I bought for) in Threadless, and indeed staging some new ones as well... I think I put far too much effort into this, I always need to either edit the picture or set up something vaguely related to the shirt. If I were sensible I'd just take 30 nearly identical pictures of me in every Threadless shirt I own and get all the STP instantly. Buuuut. I like making fun photographs, dammit!

Also, bloggers in the UK: how absolutely terrible is the credit crisis?! $54 should NOT equal £36! I am shocked and dismayed at how expensive my rediscovered Threadless addiction has become. :(

Has made me come back to Threadless. After being away for like 10 months or something.

Usually I don't go for slogan shirts, but this is just fabulous.

See, Chelly, I've found another practical use for those boots - making me feel like I've really earned an STP point!

Yeah, I'm back to doing gallery pics. I'm running out of coupon. ;)

Which looks best? Or should I do more, with added crowbar/chain?

2.

3.

Also: photoshopping my striped socks/gloves to make them pink, y/n?

EDIT: Submitted this:

This is my attempt to get back into the blogs! I have missed some of you guys quite a lot. And FA keeps staring at me with those puppy-eyes of his and pleading for my return.

So, I suck at Christmas. I have bought chocolate for most of my friends (a couple of them are getting more expensive/thoughtful presents, as are my family) but I still had the time and money to buy myself a bunch of jewellery... and these:

In matt rather than shiny, but the matt picture is not as good. I have finally found heels I can comfortably walk in!

I figure, since I now have a real job I can splash out a bit... right?

And I'm still buying Threadless shirts guilt-free on the sale as I'm still on that coupon... today I opened a parcel and received two tentacled horrors, a stylish fox, and a musical scene with a Victorian/Decemberists vibe. Half of these are presents for people. :)

How's Christmas shopping going for all of you?
