Thanks everyone! :D I'm loving the pics.

The day started off kinda lame because I had only one thing from my parents, and that was a hairdrier! But then I went out for dinner with my boyfriend who gave me a tonne of amazing presents (an MMORPG, some D&D books, a book about zoology, the DVD of Akira, and more to come) and thence we went on to a pub with some friends, and the DJ (who is also a friend of mine) played an awesome metal track for me. :) And today some more of the things from my parents arrived, so I feel less neglected! ;) A bunch of metal CDs and some Orwell and Huxley books. :D

So, awesome birthday over all. :D Although my boss is pissed off with me because I apparently didn't tell her I was taking the day off, even though I very definitely did because I was hiking on the weekend and knew I'd be too tired for anything!

FA, sorry, I'll try to be around more!

Aristarchus, it seems so. :P Although I'm sure you have said something along the lines of "don't tempt me, you're too young for me to have dirty thoughts about" before? Possibly? Or I may be misremembering. But, yeah, your inner pervert should hang his head in shame. Especially since you missed me when I was in Vancouver. :P

You are a lucky girl to get nice birthday presents from your boyfriend.
When it was my birthday last month I only got gifts from my parents, my roomie, and a great old friend of mine.
Even thought I saw a bunch of people for my birthday since it was Labor Day.

Labor day is when people get to stay home and not go to work.
My birthday mostly lands on Labor day weekend.
This year it landed on my birthday (Sep. 3rd)

Yes my boyfriend is nice but he has been saving up for things lately that I guess he just didn't think that I would care if he bought me a gift or not.
