Sandra McCraken? Ripping off Threadless?

While flipping through the latest issue of Paste magazine I saw an oddly familiar design. On "The Paste 7" #5 is Discrevolt, which is a thing where people can sell these little plastic cards at concerts that people can use to download some music. They had a picture of a few and one was Sandra McCracken's, which had this design on it, despite the fact that the artists are supposed to create an original design (as stated on the website.)

that's a good question. The style of the design fits with everything else by vandv, though.. and the one posted above is the same style.

I feel like that wasn't very coherent, but it makes sense to me.

Well, DiscRevolt was founded in the summer of 2006 according to the website, and this designed finished scoring 152 days ago, so I image the shirt was first.

For the record, I did NOT steal this. I have the original drawing, scan and everything to prove so. I'll be contacting her later once I get more info on what happened here. Thanks for pointing this out, Odelay.

I can guarantee this design is a valorandvellum original because once I "borrowed" and slightly modified this beautiful artwork myself (see her cake blog). Sorry v&v.

I just wanted to step in here and give a community apology to Priscilla for this ordeal. I just found out about all this today, that the design that someone had made for my Discrevolt card was taken directly from Priscilla's design without permission. As an indie artist in music, I completely share your sense of justice and will do whatever I can to make things right.
