Design costings ?

calling all designers...i'm doing some work for an independent film company. the work is to create and design an A1 / A0 poster and web banners to advertise a film.
how much should i charge for the work ?
can someone help with the costings, in sterling if possible...do i charge per day or per item ?

Charge them by the hour and make sure they keep a log. Also make sure they can estimate how long it will take. If they have not so much experience, charge in the neighborhood of $20. If they have more experience, it's upwards of $20... sometimes $30 or $40.
