I've been looking into Direct To Garment Printing (think Ink jet printer with t-shirts instead of paper) and I came across this website that showcases a lot of Threadless designs in their gallery of shirts that they've printed with DTG printing. I thought Threadless screen printed all of their shirts?
Here's the Website Just click through their slide show of examples.
Does anyone know of a good print shops in California to go through to have some shirts screen printed? I've checked out Mammoth Print Shop and they look good, but they're in Alabama. I'm also going to check out some local places next week. If you've had shirts printed, what company did you use?
Does anyone know of any good tutorials online for comic book style ink hatching in photoshop. I want to make something that looks like THIS. If you scroll about 2/3 of the way down in that tutorial, it shows you a neat method of hatching with the BLEND tool in Illustrator. Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to the blend tool in photoshop? Something that will multiply a line or shape a certain number of times along a path.
I just submitted this yesterday for the regular contest, but I had intended it to be for the Hot Chip contest, so I emailed threadless to see if they could just switch it for me or if I have to re-submit the same thing to the Hot-Chip contest. Has any one had a similar problem, submitting something to the wrong contest and getting it switched?
![]() Also, I have a new slogan: "War is not the answer, unless the question is 'What is not the answer?'" but it's too long so I had to merge a few words and now it looks a little weird. Another failure, Sorry to the threadless people who have to deal with my stupidity.
I submitted this design to Threadless a few months back and it scored a 3.0, but they didn't want to print it. I was pretty bummed, but I decided that it might have a shot somewhere, if not Threadless, so I emailed them and got it released to submit somewhere else. I got a lot of comments from people who liked it, so please vote it up! and leave a comment if you would like.
