I'm coming to think some people have issues with other people doing great work.
I was just recently on the Critique side of things and saw this one great piece. It may have needed some work or some more variations, but this person had 3 "do not submit this" posts. I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm a professional artist/designer with reputable education from the top art & design school in Canada, and I know what I'm talking about when I see great work. I'm coming to think that a lot of people on here are really bitter at some of the talent on here, or just bitter and clicker happy. Unless the artwork was copied directly from something and the artwork isn't of the artist...then I can see why they shouldn't be submitting something. But really ...look around. People are being told to submit work that my 8 month old niece can draw and she's not even crawling yet. Let's all play fair and be constructive people! If I were back in Art School again and a fellow student said some of the things people on here have said...well, I'd be knuckle painting so to speak. Learn to give constructive criticism and when you see great work, don't be bitter. Be happy that there's great artists & designers out there tryin' they're butts off to get work and make a living at something that they love. And if its not great work, let's all help to make it better! jeebus |
I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
just your typical illustrator/art director/graphic designer/hockey playin'/guitar whalin' Canadian trying to make it out there.
