I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
don't creep me out if you're gonna IM me. say something like hi i'm blah blah and i saw your sn on threadless. i won't block you.
attending a SoCal university (guess which!). My hobbies/interests include The Beatles, high fashion, conceptual art, museums (I've been to the Louvre and the British Museum but LACMA remains my favorite), trips to the library, drawing, photography, and bloggings. I wish I had an SLR, even a film one. Someday, I'd like to be 6 feet tall, speak with a British accent, and attend Christie's art and memorabilia auctions regularly. xD Just kidding. Though it would be nice to be tall and bid in auctions. Visit my Flickr with a Chinese username (because of that, Threadless can't identify my account :( ): http://www.flickr.com/photos/intial-t |
The word "Bête" has two meanings: beast and stupid.
In the context of the expression "pense bête", I think, and I'm not a linguist or French, I simply live in France... so I could very well be wrong... the expression "pense bête" is mildly derogatory: towards oneself (as in you aren't capable of remembering yourself and need a reminder, so you are a bit of a dummy). That sort of thing. It's a French thing.
"Pense pas bête" means "Not a stupid reminder". The Tshirt is full of little sayings that like "Lettres nourish the soul, rectifying and consoling it". Stuff like that.
The picture of the fellow in the upper right hand corner is of Arthur Rimbaud, a French poet who influenced modern literature and, not surprisingly, died relatively young.
