Well, I am terribly sorry to have abandoned you for months. If you don't forgive, I will understand. However, I have good news. I have officially moved to California!!! How excited is that? Quite actually.
Hope all are having a great holiday season. Marissa
So, for all you North-westerners, I hope that you managed to hit folklife up this weekend. It was amazing as ever. The music, the art, the random crazy people. How can you not love it. I managed to meet my favorite artist there today (hurrah) and my existence is currently totally validated.
Have a good one. Marissa
It's my birthday today. As of 3:02 am I am 18 years old. Woot. Now I'm going to go out and do as many of the things you can legally do when you turn 18. So excited.
Have a stellar day! Marissa
I am going to Vegas for the very first time for my 18th birthday. YEAH!!! Whoa, Vegas here I come!!!!
Plus, I'm going sky diving! (Which has been a dream of mine since I was seven) Woot!!!!! Have a fabulous day!
So I'm performing a skit from The Merchant of Venice. It is the scene when Jessica and Lancelot and Lorenzo are talking about Jessica's fate and becoming a christian.
I love that Lancelot blames Lorenzo for jacking up the price of pigs! So funny. But I'm still nervous. No acting for me. Anyways, yesterday was a beautiful day. So I thought I'd share the joy. Sadly Kurt Vonnegut died the other day and just today I believe there was a massive shooting at Virginia Tech. Sad, very sad. Marissa
So this is my final quarter in getting my AA and also the last couple months of my senior year in highschool. I decided to take my last quarter easy, take some fun classes. That went well. Now I'm taking Japanese History and Culture, which is a really cool class, it just has weekly group presentations, which I hate, but it is very interesting. I'm also taking Shakespeare- the late works, which means only four plays to read, but also four papers a couple tests and I have to act! That is a very bad thing!
The final class that I'm taking is Social Ethics which, among other things requires 15 hrs community service, papers, lots of reading, tests, etc. etc. etc. So much for easy quarter, but it is still going to be pretty amazing, because although there will be a lot of work, those are three amazing classes. Have a stellar day! Marissa
Yay. My shirts finally came in. It took almost a month, which really sucks, but they are here now and they are amazing. The 'Shakespeare hates your emo poems' one is my favorite, because I'm taking a Shakespeare class right now and I cannot wait to wear it and see my teachers reaction to it. He's a funny guy, he'll like it. WOOT!!!! I'm so excited that they have come in.
On a different note. Grindhouse. So excited to see that today. Bring back the double features. Or even a triple feature, plus if you don't love the directors you are just dumb and should walk away right now. To prepare I'm going to watch some favorites, like Pulp Fiction and Resevior Dogs! So excited. Also, if you haven't seen an inconvenient truth (the Al Gore) film, you should. It will change you and make you want to do something, because we are killing our world and that is just bad for everyone. Have a good day. Marissa
I'm so excited for my shirts to arrive. I do not know if I will be able to wait much longer.
Life is rather good right now and I thought I would share some of the sunshine with you. Smile, because trust me, it will make you and me and that creepy guy who is staring at you happier. Toodles. Rissa about Party Pieces
This shirt was made for me. When I was about 12 years old I suddenly had this insane obsession with paper shreaders. I got one for Christmas and I proceeded to shread endless amounts of paper for weeks. I still have my original paper shreader. Marissa
I'm really excited about this shirt. I think that it really speaks the truth. America makes their pathetic attempts at bringing peace to other countries and yet war is all that seems to come from it. Amazing. Nicely done.

I haven't submitted any photos. I guess I don't want free money.
Bonjour! My name is Marissa. My favorite shirts tend to be the mildly twisted ones, but that applies to pretty much anything in life. No, I'm not twisted, I just enjoy twisted things. And creepy people. Like my mail man. He is sufficiently creepy. Then I thought I got a new hunky mail man, but luckily, he was just a substitute mail man.
Have a great day!!! |
