Dammit....I can't see this clip at work. But i'll just quote the "brutality" line like everyone else has!

We should just start naming our favorite endings to a video game. I'm gonna have to go with Super Mario 2. "It was all a dream" blew my mind apart when i was a kid, but tha1t was before I saw the ending to the Bob Newhart show.

dibs on being final boss or sweet rival that's been fighting you since the beginning of the game and then you finally have to overcome him because you think he's the final boss but he isn't, and when you defeat him you're too worn out to fight the actual final boss, and then you die.

I love the ending of Shadow of the Colossus, when after killing Collossi for the entire game, the priests come in and essentailly say "Oh my God! why have you been killing all these peaceful creatures!" and you realise you've been misled for the entire game by this voice that has been telling you to kill things.

i think the NEAR ending of prince of persia: sands of time is hilarious because the two characters are totally getting it on then you have to go through a kingdom with no weapons and then you finally get the the final final boss and its the biggest let down ever because he is even easier than the first boss and you kill him on the first try and then feel totally bummed so you just dont save and go back to the part where the characters are totally doing it again just because the sound effects are hilarious then you just never play hte game again cause the ending made you so angry
