this shirt reminds me of Douglas Adams

Has anyone else ever read "Last Chance to See"?

Rhinos were Adam's favourite animal and he was very active in trying to save the white rhino while he was alive, it was one of his favourite charities. Also, he once climed Mt. Kiliminjaro wearing a rhino costume, so, this makes me think of him.

just wondering if anyone else had thought of this.

that was, in my opinion, the best thing he ever wrote. He thought so as well, he always said that Last Chance to See was "The best thing I ever wrote, and the one thing no one ever read".

Long time since I read "Last Chance to See" but it was a good read. I particularly loved reading about the Kakapo parrot in New Zealand. No wonder it's nearly extinct.

This book was a lot better than the Hitch-hikers movie. That was so disappointing.

I haven't read "Last Chance to See" in well over 8 years but I remember it as being quite awesome. I still think that my favorite book by him was "Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency", though!

I haven't read Last Chance to See, but there was a good story about him dressing up in a rhino suit in "The Salmon of Doubt"

yes, sorry if that was misleading...the rhino suit story was in "The Salmon Of Doubt" not "Last Chance to See

"Last Chance To See" was the most entertaining non-fiction book I've ever read.

"Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love. How on earth can you explain in terms of chemistry and physics so important a biological phenomenon as first love? Put your hand on a stove for a minute and it seems like an hour. Sit with that special girl for an hour and it seems like a minute. That's relativity."
