This is probably just me, but people's avatars really affect how I read posts. Since it's harder to sense inflection/nuance/lilt/sarcasm from just text, the picture next to it can hijack the meaning to something completely different.

For example, sometimes i feel Trotsky makes me sound like pompous academician assery. hmm. I'm thinking of switching back to the grass picture.

everyone likes grass, right?

I wouldn't say that mine is exceptionally indicative of my tone on the blogs. My tone changes so much faster than my avatar, that its impossible for my avatar to keep up!

I used to be Edward Bates, but then many people thought I was a guy.

And I started getting confused myself so I changed.
But I miss good old Ed.

just the opposite. Women wanted to be all over him, but he was afraid they would distract him from his genius. He did fall in love with a pidgeon towards the end of his life, though.

I think randy had an ugly baby monkey once.

Then again, you can probably never go wrong with Dali

peater
peater on Nov 18 '07 at 7:22pm
I like a lot of Dali's stuff, but he's getting really mainstream with the kids. I prefer magritte.
margolove
margolove on Nov 18 '07 at 7:22pm
where?

I saw some of his stuff at the Tate, but I forget exactly what it was (besides LOBSTER TELEPHONE!)

ahaha you suck for liking him less for being mainstream now ;)
margolove
margolove on Nov 18 '07 at 7:24pm
