The Job Hunt Begins (aka : looking for job hunt help in Boston, MA)
I'm looking for work. Ideally I'd like to get a job in digital illustration, traditional illustration, design, etc.

I've been reviewing resources and job hunting sites all day and working on my resume.

I figured I should try to make use of the experience and expertise here.

Does anyone have any leads in the Boston, MA area?

Does anyone know of any reliable sites for hunting for such jobs?

Does anyone have any reliable resources for freelancing?

All I know about is Monster, but I don't know how well it would work for graphic design jobs.

I have a friend who works at Monster so I've got that angle covered. :-) I like to maximize my options though.

Here are some links that I have found really helpful in terms of looking for design jobs in the Boston area:



MediaBistro is the best source I've found so far for real design job leads without the false leads.



HireCulture is an arts job site run by the Massachusetts Cultural Commission for their program grantees.



my employer is looking for a graphic designer



Simply Hired is a new job aggregate search engine which is pretty neat.



Also, check out the university hire websites for Harvard, MIT, Boston U, Tufts, and Northeastern -- the benefits at colleges can't be beat! If you need any help on those addresses, I can post them.
