I don't know Jonathan Mak but I have had the pleasure of collaborating with Chris T. (aka Raid71) on a few occasions and not only is he a stellar artist, but he's also a genuinely nice guy. It's not surprising that he took the high road here - a good lesson for all of us who may have been nicked in the past.
Dude, I was wondering what happened to Chris aka Raid. Hope he pulls through, crazy what happened with the tribute similarities. But on the plus side, at least Chris's design didn't have to go through the displeasure of being uploaded onto Asthon Kutcher's personal blog.
i was thinking about blogging about this too. i thought, why does chris thornley sound so familiar and then i 'clicked' rly quickly. i hope that kid's ok and raid71 pulls through.
Ideas interlap all the time. I've done it multiple times on designs. My kongalism, I later found out, was a simple concept to another designer on here, though the execution is different.
I did a dr. doom/charlie brown that was done a few years ago by another artist. That one sucked cause I thought it was clever lol.
I've taken inspiration of some of my minimalist guys from other artists deconstruction of the human figure and some poses and etc.

He's a top bloke, I collabed with him and won and he gave me half the money, even though he did all the good stuff. Just gone through some pretty heavy cancer treatment, but he's amazingly upbeat about it all.
Copyright bullshit is pretty meaningless when it comes down to it.
raid71 has been a favorite designer of mine since i came here
