Helpful hints regarding why a design was declined.

I'm not actually giving hints but am instead asking for any as to why the submission below was declined. Some one has suggested to me that it might be because the designs on the blue and red shirts are cropped, but I got away with that before with my helmeted space critters. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Was it a"Threadless loves" contest sub? Sometimes they get declined if there's not connection with the theme. Other then that it looks good to me.

From some of the bad designs I've seen I didn't think Threadless declined anything. I've seen designs up that use more that 4 colors and I've seen designs up that go across the seams. I've also submitted designs were the color options were cropped. I don't see why it was declined. Hopefully a Threadless member will see this blog and comment.

Thanks Shimala- I was wondering. What about those designs that get through with more than four colors and where the image goes across the seams. Is this just human error also or do you let it go through and if people like it you tell the artist to adjust it for print?
