ehh
I don't think this should've been printed.
It certainly has been done before.
And the design is nothing special.
Sorry!

I don't like the placement and the colouring for the girls' shirt is bizarre (unless it's just very badly-lit), but the design itself is good - humorous, and drawn with verve and personality.

Where has this been done before? I'd be interested to see.

It was done on Threadless in January, for one. You'll also hear about Robot Chicken's sketch where they acted it out, and one of my friends had a shirt (from PacSun?) that had a snail riding a turtle on it years ago. You can find other depictions online if you poke around a bit. Also, I'm hearing that this theme/design references some common children's joke that I never heard growing up.

This sub may have the most visual interest of any other interpretations I've seen. Of course, the shirt my friend had handled it much differently, so it's kind of comparing Pink Ladies and Granny Smiths.

Aha, fair enough, then the accusation of unoriginality is justified. It's still very well-executed, though.

I think my major turn off from it is the placement. I think it is well executed though.

there is always similar subs in the running and out in the world, but this one was exceptional

It was never, ever my intent to be original with this concept. I got it from a children's joke that's been around forever.

I was hoping the shoulder placement would be more popular, but them's the breaks.

This t-shirt would look awesome on pregnant women. All that attention on your belly, baby!

granted this has been done on numerous shirts, I still like this version, the others ones lacked a lot of energy. This one has it in spades.

^ Definitely. Concept as old as the hills but wonderful execution. Great energy and emotion. Placement sucks :(

ok, the coding totally screwed up my comment b/c i used a greater than symbol. i had said..

the turtle is great. the placement is pretty bad. the color is ok. that said, turtle is greater than placement & color, so i'll buy it.

Great idea (even if borrowed), very nicely executed design, destroyed by the too-low placement.

i dont care if its not original, or if the placement is off, i love the execution of the turtle and snail (my fave two animals). besides, nothing is really original, but it can be fun and creative. congrats.
