Hmm. It's hard to track down a decent image, but here's a cover that definitely bears a resemblance to my design:
Like I say, the resemblance is unintentional. You be the judge!
I know the character you mean (inf fact I have the comic amongst my burgeoning collection), and I can see the resemblance, but it's not intentional.
I originally drew a normal clay golem in silhouette, but then decided it was too straightforward so did a robot instead.
Crap, I hadn't realised that I'd gotten the characters backwards! I'll have to fix that if it goes to print (hint hint, Threadless judges!).
The other cool thing about the hebrew word "truth" is that by rubbing out the first character (I think) the word becomes "death", which is how you put a Golem down.
