I avoid brown shoes like the plague because my jackets are all black (if they're dark at all, which most of them are) and one isn't supposed to wear black and brown. Plus, I own no brown skirts or trousers, and only one dress.

I hear ya, mya. I already have a pair of black "nice" shoes. but I've convinced myself i need a pair of brown ones. I'll probably wear them with jeans too.
