That's not gonna ruin Donny Darko. There's so much more in the movie, and in fact, it doesn't really matter, that spoiler. (not writing it just in case some search engine here will catch my text and ruin it for others)
It could go either way, really. The movie would just suck a little bit if that spoiler DIDNT happen.

Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies, ever, and that hardly spoils it. Easily still worth watching.

Don't know Dil or Verbal....

I was so so gutted to read this shirt, I haven't watched 300 or read the lateset few Harry Potters yet :-( (although already got that one from the Simpsons episode... grrr)

Just because it tells you the ending does not mean the movie is ruined. Like, take for instance, Psycho. Yeah, sure it gives away the movie's ending, but it's still awesome to see how it gets there. And that last scene... ooo, creepy, regardless of whether or not you already knew.
