I was driving around today, and I decided to pop in a best of The Beatles CD I have into the CD player, and, it really got me thinking about music, and it's past and future.
As of now, the future of music scares me, because it's just not up to the level that it used to be. Back then, music was either about nothing, or about everything, it was the heart and soul of the musician (usually) and was everything to them, it was never about the fame. Hell, people would kill you over your music, weather they loved or hated you. Now a days, music is just bullshit. It's the most mundane thing to listen to, in almost all it's forms. I always tend to seek out those bands that are simplistic, but still have a message to send that's their very own, and speaks to me. And what ever happened to shooting musicians? I won't lie, there are quite a few people I wouldn't mind seeing shot...
I have been part of the Threadless community for quite some time, although my art skills are to lax as to be able to post shirts, let alone shirts that would win.
As you can see, and if anyone ever reads this, my old contributions are terrible, and I'm almost embarrassed about them, but oh well, you live and you learn. I guess what I'm saying is I'd like to become more involved in the community, so, yeah. I felt my page needed more stuff. Pretty soon I'll be moving to Sunny Florida to live with my step-brother and attend Full Sail University for Music Production and Business, and I can't wait. Man, I wish I was more interesting. |

http://dlanham.com/ I live in New England. I'm not a fan of the cold I like to play music. I enjoy conversations with people. I see why dogs like sticking their heads out of the window on the highway, it's quite enjoyable. I like rocky beaches with fun things to climb on. I enjoy playgrounds. I enjoy jumping off docks. I enjoy lying on the front yard and listening to the sound of the summer wind blowing through the leaves. I enjoy throwing big rocks into the water. I enjoy hitting things with sticks. I enjoy taking walks in the snow at 4 in the morning. I used to enjoy drawing pictures, but as of late I realized I'm not that great at it, so I've resorted to looking at other people's art, and sometimes buying it.
