Is it me or does every other T-Shirt submission have either a 'love heart' or a 'tree' on it? Or both!?

A few of my (what I believe to be original) designs aren't getting past the admin folk.....

.....I think I'll try out some 'I Love Trees' designs. And just leave my integrity at the door.

integrity means nothing if you leave your talent at the door... just some words to ponder...
CopyPasteRepeat
CopyPasteRepeat on Jan 18 '07 at 5:32pm
That'd be a good Tee.... if only it had a tree on it.
Petanca
Petanca on Jan 18 '07 at 5:34pm
how about a tree full of hearts! or a heart full of trees
CopyPasteRepeat
CopyPasteRepeat on Jan 18 '07 at 5:45pm
.... or a tree talking to a heart, or a heart with the word 'TREE' on it, or a tree in the shape of a heart, or a heart with....

I've got A LOT of 'designing' to do!

it's even better if you can take those worn out elements and do something new with them. take them to a point where no one can top them, then they'll die off.

i think the next hot items will be words. we got the 'joy of text II' mini contest going on too.

previous hot items:

trees

hearts

astronauts

aquanauts

ballons

deer, rabbits, other cute creatures

food with faces

and motherfucking iPods

I don't hate trees... they provide fruit and... er.. maple syrup.

But I do hate hippies!
hugtrees
hugtrees on Jan 18 '07 at 6:29pm
Hahah, I was only kidding ;) ...maple syrup? Are you Canadian? :D
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:31pm

Rock Deputy
Rock Deputy on Jan 18 '07 at 6:31pm
in fact, I am Canadian... I didn't realize that maple syrup was an expressly Canadian thing.. don't Yankees have it too?
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:32pm
Did someone say Canadian?
Rock Deputy
Rock Deputy on Jan 18 '07 at 6:35pm
that was me.. and hugtrees. can I assume by your name that you are a fellow Canuck... or, at least a fan of our Nation's animal?
hugtrees
hugtrees on Jan 18 '07 at 6:36pm
Nah, I'm not a Yank - I'm an Aussie!

Hah, isn't a Canadian thing? It seemed to be the only thing my sister's ex-Canadian boyfriend would ever send over...
Rock Deputy
Rock Deputy on Jan 18 '07 at 6:36pm
or... perhaps a fan of the nether-regions of our fine female populous?

Rock Deputy
Rock Deputy on Jan 18 '07 at 6:40pm
well, hugtrees (if that is your real name)... your Empirical bretheran to the North (and West) do enjoy maple syrup on a select number of breakfast items but I wouldn't go so far as to say that we identify ourselves by it....

right, Ms. Beaver? (back me up here)

A gift for a guy from Alberta...
Stevethegreat
Stevethegreat on Jan 18 '07 at 6:45pm
Vermont and New Hampshire have syrup
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:46pm
(It says Medicine Alberta).

Yeah yeah yeah we have maple syup here but I don't eat it on my corn flakes or anything. And I bet they sell it by the ton in Vermont to all those leaf peepers, right?

I do like it on my waffles though - but that's anywhere I am having breakfast.
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:47pm
Oy - Medicine HAT Alberta.

omg derailed to syrup talk.

although i did hear that the syrup harvests are being screwed up by the odd weather. oh noes! breakfasts will be ruined!
spacesick
   spacesick on Jan 18 '07 at 6:48pm
we'll always have honeycomb

yeah yeah yeah
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:48pm
One thing I will say is that I do like REAL maple syrup and it costs a fortune. The stuff you get at the grocery store, like Aunt Jemima or whatever only has a maple flavoring in it.

Yeah baby rub it all over meeeeee
hugtrees
hugtrees on Jan 18 '07 at 6:49pm
Now that we've turned to syrup talk...I just realised, I haven't had maple syrup for years!
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:50pm
Hey if it's gonna be cereal, make it Lucky Charms and Pepsi.

Back to the original topic, OK, to many trees, hearts, pandas and can we add pirates?
spacesick
   spacesick on Jan 18 '07 at 6:52pm
what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. at no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
travis76
   travis76 on Jan 18 '07 at 6:53pm
i really should go poo now, i suppose.
canadianbeaver
canadianbeaver on Jan 18 '07 at 6:56pm
eveidently, I have perplexed Spacesick and committed irrational thought. You are now all dumber. This is the Canadian way and we are going to take your land this way by 2008.
spacesick
   spacesick on Jan 18 '07 at 6:58pm
travis your select design should involve some kind of tree or tree-related product
travis76
   travis76 on Jan 18 '07 at 7:01pm
it almost did!

Taking Back the Streets - Threadless, Best T-shirts Ever

but i'm still trying to come up with an unconventional select that'll take good advantage of either a process or 7 colors. it's tough.

Tescos?! They don't use Arial Black.

This isn't someone else. This is me, (there's some solid proof for you). My name, (as some of you have found out) is from my music artist name. I use it for most things creative now. It's a reflection on so many things in life... especially the creative industry. Industry being a key word too I suppose. My music is based on samples, found sounds and loops.

CPR can be applied to anything really. Growth, life, commercialism, patterns, science/logic, organisation, conformity.... loads of stuff.

Sorry if I'm coming across all 'deep'.

Spot on with the 'Deer and Rabbits' Travis76.... and iPod parodies, (I really don't get some of the newer ones. It feels like people are simply taking a word and putting an 'i' infront of it... no real parody or sense of irony/humor).
