They rejected one of mine, but then I just changed the background and they accepted it (it was kind of busy at first). Maybe your mockup just had too much going on? I say try it again.
If that's what you submitted up there then it probably got rejected because it's at 640x320 instead of 800x400, but maybe that's just the flickr resize thing.
I would've approved it had I seen it in the queue, but I guess there are some designs every now and then that probably should've been let through, and some that shouldn't have. I wouldn't get too worked up over it, if I have stuff rejected I just sub it to the critiques section and while basically nobody checks that (because it's filled with crap) it's at least on my profile page as a tee.
they rejected first thing I subbed there and didnt bother again, the approval wait is also so slow (total waste)... my mintees accnt is just remnants of my emptees.
I do miss emptees but so much trashy talk there anyway lols
those sites attract bad clients on most parts (in my case anyway)

It's just a flickr resize so it can fit here - it was 800x400.
I'm not that worked up, just didn't know that Mintees had become so selective. It's the first thing I've ever had rejected, so I guess I just didn't know - and have been lucky.
They usully reject me within an hour after I submit but I've read they reject really shitty designs right away, maybe they just see my name and they automatically delete it...
i reckon if you haven't heard "beast" used in that way the whole design looks pretty lame. it's just a skater identifying a celebrity. imagine switching the beast for mickey mouse, and the guy going "dude, that's mickey mouse". it takes on a whole different tone. i bet that's what went wrong.
But as for the process, I believe there's between 50-75 people who have the ability to go to the Approve section, and they can vote up or vote down the design, or just ignore it. We don't know how many of each have already been chosen, so there's not any peer pressuring going on. There are I think four mods (dobi, craig robson, quakerninja, and derek deal, well and jared, the coder, but idk if he votes) who can instantly approve/deny any design, and either all the mods or just dobi can make certain people auto-approve. After a certain amount of up votes, idk how many, it gets sent to the tees page.
The community decided to change it because emptees had gotten overrun with crap, a lot from indonesia actually but a lot from other places as well. People got sick of having to wade through the tees section to find anything good, and some good stuff got pushed to page 2 within a couple hours because of all the crap. There was a flagging system but people decided it would be better to do this new system.
If it's a really good/really bad design it takes maybe an hour or two tops to be chosen, if it's between it takes around 10 hours probably and if it's on the fence, where more people ignore it because they don't know which way to vote, it can take up to 24 hours.
