STEP ONE: concept

STEP TWO: research


I had an idea of those old vintage horror posters in my head but I wanted to check out what they really lloked like to get more ideas. In fact I posted a blog with a lot of the awesome ones I found here.

STEP THREE: large mock up

Now I drew everything out full size. Putting in as much detail as I could. However, as lots of changes were made I had to draw it again for my final that I would scan.

STEP FOUR: final drawing

I lightboxed the initial sketch and then went it with a lot more detail and shading. When it was finished I took an eraser to the bottom portion.

STEP FIVE: take the eraser picture

I took a bunch of macro pictures of erasers. I used a bent paperclip to keep them upright because I new I would be Photoshopping it out later. The eraser dust I just threw on my scanner and scanned.

STEP SIX:
The last step was adding the tagline on. I hand did the text and scanned it in (only because I couldn't make a decision on what I wanted it to say when I did the original drawing).

STEP SEVEN: submit & vote
I put it all together in Photoshop and submitted it! Now you can vote :)
