I'm braving an 8-hour road trip to visit my BF/fiance this weekend. Problem is the CD player in my car has a CD stuck in it. I need to fully stock my Zune before departing.

Any suggestions for upbeat music that will keep me up while I'm driving?

What's on your playlist right now? I'm open to suggestions.

Also, if you know anything about the Mitchell's satyr (some damn butterfly thing), holla atcha girl. My homework is intense tonight. OK, maybe not but whatev.

Music!

Is this off their new CD, travioli? I have Blackholes and Revelations and am in love.

The rest of these are great. Keep 'em coming!

It's from Absolution. It's a sweet album. Other good songs from that one off of the top of my head are Hystaria, The Small Print, Butterflys and Hurricanes, and Apocolypse Please which was in the 30 days of night preview. Butterflies and Hurricanes is probably the best one.

Stepsonday, Sean Na Na, Mixel Pixel, or Tricot Machine for some good ole indie pop, though Tricot Machine is French, but I still like them, even if I can only understand half the words (if that).

Others I've been listening to recently and are worth checking out: Oh Laura, Club 8, The Bigger Lovers, Brendan Benson, Cloudberry Jam, Neon Neon.

And you know, always Elliott Smith and Jens Lekman to fall back on.

And I'm pretty much falling in love with JayMay.

Seeing GLO live is about 90 times better than just listening to them. Listening to them is still incredible though.
