I'm using two computers at the same time.

The sims on one and the internet on the other, the fact that I'm playing on the sims puts me in geek territory.

Ok so theres this anime called the The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya that became very popular in japan (and to a lesser extent the rest of the world) but it really got famous because of the dance all the chracters do at the very end of each episode. Its become so popular an incredible amount of people have made their own videos of them doing the dance today I saw one that was pretty much as perfect as you'll ever get, including costume, the dance and the background.

the orriginal episode (short version).

The copy

Also if your interested in the japanese obssession with this serries you should probably check out gender bending, the fans decided to re write and draw all the characters (and scenes) with all the characters the opposite sex its very odd.

The Male and female lead

Are transformed.

Just came acrosss this website:

unknow.com

It pops up useless knowledge for you to rate for example:

Licking a postage stamp gives you 0,25 calories.

Maine is the only state whose name is just one syllable.

An adult giraffe's kick is so powerful that it can decapitate a lion.

One billion seconds is about 32 years.

In their periods womens middle fingers shrink no one knows why.

I just watched the carrot mob video:

Carrotmob Makes It Rain from carrotmob on Vimeo.

Thanks Mike and it got me wondering, what exactly is threadless doing for the enivroment?

the tee shirts are produced in indian, shiped to the states, printed on (with inks that have probably traveled quite far), they go to the offices then their sent out all over the world.

Now obviously its very difficult to reduce the enviromental impact in that sense but what is threadless doing to make the offices more enviromentally friendly?

Ok guys and gals, so for a very long time I've had an idea for a story/film that I badly want to write I've been developing characters and working out my plot and how each event connects to each other but now I'm actually at the point of writing it i'm stuck.

I think once I get into the swing of things I'll be alright but the problem is getting started.

I have a really strong opening scene in mind but I'm having trouble describing it, what I'm trying to describe is a man (who will be named later) staring over the edge of a building in a run down nahigborhood in new york city, he looks at his watch and the timers almost run out (theres about a minute left), he presses a button on his watch, he presses a button on it, then pulls up his world war 2 pilot goggles onto his face then goes further back on the roof, gets into the running position and when his alarm goes off he starts running and jumps off the ledge.

He falls for a bit then a wormhole opens up and a monster comes out of it the manmanages to grab hold of the tail and they fight.

I really dont feel like I'm describing this well, when I read I want things left for my imagination and this feels like I'm just making a list, character A does this and then he does that and I dont think I'm creating an image in other peoples mind.

Any ideas how I can improve this?

Today a customer came in the shop today and said out right he wanted to buy a nikon d700, the nikon d700 costs £2,200 our daily sales target is £2000 so we would of been set for the rest of the day. On top of this if you sell a D700 you get an extra £30 in your pay slip.

We had a D700 in ready to be sold and the guy didnt even care that it had been on display.

but we couldnt sell it to him because, and this is the kicker were not allowed to match deals that we are doing on our own website.

On our website we are offering a d700 with a 4 gb compact flash card extreme five its worth £200.

We had both these items in stock but we werent allowed to sell them.

I'm pissed off, one because I would of had an extra bit of cash and two one of the full time staff is a complete arsehole and was showing off telling everyone that he was going to be the first person to sell a D700, selling it before he did would of been a big fuck you but I lost out on that because my company is run by idiots.

Unfortunatly were not doing any of that yet.

Ok so this blog is devoted to the discussion of where we want to take the pic it forward project next (assuming that people want it to carry on) if your not sure what all this pic it forward project is the short version is that its a postal photography project, for more info check out these blogs.

An explanation and a list of routes

The photos that have been printed so far

So were finally getting to the end of this outing of pic it forward and so far its been very successful, we've had four routes printed that have traveled all over america (and some of canada) and I was wondering if people would be interested in doing it again?

If we did it again does anyone have any ideas how to make it better? such as:

Photography tips

or do people want the group to set themes?

the last outing I kind of let everyone do their own thing, I'm just the guy who organises things and I wanted to let you guys have creative control of what happens with your camera? was it the wrong way to approach the project? Should I of encouraged routes to come up with themes? Is it something you'd like to see in the future?

------------------------------------------------------------------

The other thing I wanted to talk about was a website, I love threadless and this project wouldnt be possible without the community but what I've been finding already that using the blogs for some of the things the project needs it just doesnt work (for example a gallery).

So how would people feel about us having our own website?

We'd have all our photos on the site in a dedicated gallery, we could do stuff like a photo of the week and there would be a back catlogue of blogs.

If we did get a website what would you want from the site? what features would you like to see?

Which brings us onto the next problem, I'm broke and have no way of paying someone to build a website for the for seeable future is their anyone who would be interested in building it?

--------------------------------

Finally the next thing we need to discuss is the book.

If we were to print one would people be interested in buying it? if so how much are you willing to pay? and how do you feel about me taking a profit from the sales?

If I took a profit the money would be put straight back into the project to pay for anything else we might need (e.g more books, website and other merch).

------------------------

In a related point I was also thinking about printing postcard packs of each route so that everyone on that route would be able to buy it and have something material to hold onto.

Is that something people would be interested in (as a cheaper alternative to a book).

So much to talk about.
