So a while back Mike posted a blog where he kept track of all the movies he'd watched in 2010, it seems like a cool idea so I thought I'd give it a go.

Planes, Trains and Automobiles

I really enjoyed it, to classic comedians playing the types of roles they played best, I kind of felt like the reason they were rushing home was a bit weak and the wife came off as a bit heartless but the film isnt about that, its the relationship between Neal and Del thats great.

cost: free.

My sister boughtScott pilgrim vs the world, it came yesterday, I've just re watched it and loved it but not as much as I did when I saw it on the big screen but I am amazed by all the extra features.

I've watched the deleted scenes and I understand why they were deleted, most of them sucked/dragged on too long and my major bug bear was the whole alternative ending felt contrived, like they had no intention of actually making that alternative ending but did it just to be conterverisal.

I'd still say its a classic movie that defines our generation but I just wasnt feeling it tonight.

woop woop!
I wish I kept track when the year started, I think I can still recall everything though, if I thought hard enough.

And I still have thoughts about making charts and data and stuff because they're fun to look at.

Yeah its not been that long, I havent actually watched a lot of movies yet, I've been mainly watching tv, but that would be too difficult to include.

Maybe you should just start it now and then do extra days.

Also charts would be awesome, but I dont know how you'd track it/what you'd be tracking.

I suppose you could go by genre.

Inception, I picked up on things I hadn't noticed before, it was still an awesome film but I'm disappointed that the extra features didn't have a making of, I want to know how they did the zero gravity fight scene.

Harry Potter and the goblet of fire

Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix

So I've basically come to the conclusion that whilst the early films are nice, there not overly relevant to the plot, you need to know voldermort is evil and that he's come back but at the goblet of fire, thats when the series changes and becomes about fighting the evil rebellion whilst the goverment doubts his return.

and thats when it gets good.

Just saw the black swan, wow. this film had me questioning reality way, way more than inception which makes it brilliant.

The dead pool

Dirty harry returns in what is probably the most rediclous/1980's film imaginable, they have a car chase with a remote control car that has a bomb in it.

It was fun, hilarious and awesome.

Today I finally sat down and watched 500 days of summer, I'd been putting this film off because I'd never really been in the mood for a romantic comedy, no matter how amazing people on the threadless blogs made it out to be.

I was wrong, its probably the best film I've seen all year, I love the mixture between imagination and reality that seemingly come out of no where but fit perfectly within the context of the film.

I watched 178 films in 2009, but didn't finish 7 of them.

I watched 148 last year, 29 of which were unfinished.

13 so far this year, 1 unfinished.

Average rating is 6.32

I also keep track of whether it's the first viewing of a film, and whether I watched it at the cinema. I'm a big geek.

I really disliked 500 Days Of Summer, mainly because I hated the character of Summer.

Thats dedication mate, I'm struggling with doing what little I'm doing now but I'm a bit of a scatter brain.

As for 500 days of summer, I liked her but then I'm a bit of a Zooey Deschanel fan although I related a hell of a lot more to Tom because he felt he was stuck in a dead end job.
