My sisters going away
So as mentioned in a pervious blog, my sisters going to study Mississippi until christmas.

Its her first time leaving the country on her own and I want to get her a really nice going away gift but I've no idea what to get her.

Any suggestions?

My budget wont be much more than £50.

Whatever it is it cant be big or heavy.

Does she have sunglasses? Get her some nice sunglasses

sunglasses are a good suggestion but sometimes hard to buy flattering ones for someone else

does she have a camera? or a film camera if she's into that at all would be nice for travelling

anything for school, computer accessories? something that will help her keep in touch with home, like a webcam if her computer doesn't have one, or stationary if she'd send letters? or something to remember home by, like a book you think she'd like or just something small of local significance

but I'm sure she'll appreciate anything, even just throwing her a party or making her dinner just to show you care and that you'll miss her would probably mean a lot.

Thanks for the suggestions! Moose I have to agree sun glasses are a nice idea but I'd probably get it wrong.

I think its either going to be something to help her remember home or something to remember her trip.

My sister just left to study abroad in England yesterday. I got her this book so that she can document her trip. Depending on what you're sister's like, this book might be more appropriate.

Keri Smith has a whole bunch of stuff like that. I snuck the book in my sister's suitcase before she left and wrote that she needs to open it the very first time she gets bored. I doubt she's discovered it yet though!
