So right now I'm using my sisters old laptop and its ok but it doesnt do everything I want, it keeps crashing and its not powerful enough to meet all my needs so I'm thinking of upgrading to a mac (I'm going to be doing a lot more video editing in the future).

I cant afford to buy a mac out right but apple has a financing option, has anyone bought anything on one of those programs, is it a good idea?

P.S how are mac's when it comes to writing html/css?

Sorry, didn't read the post fully. I thought you meant on a credit card.

Finance is perhaps worth a look, I'd still not do it myself. I try not to buy things I can't afford.

That's what I did for my first Mac. Paid it off in like 3 months (early) and it was gravy, baby.

also, the type of computer you have has nothing to do with writing html/css. all you really need is a text editor.

apple financing is basically the same as opening a new credit card and charging a mac to it.

assuming your current setup isn't preventing you from working (i.e. you're losing money because your work isn't getting done), you'd be better off just saving the money and buying once you have enough saved.

even if you pay off the whole thing within the deferred interest period as mezo did, opening that new card will still affect your credit score.

Thats how both my sisters bought their macbooks. They had them paid off in a few months. But laptops are a waste of money in my opinion...

Get the 27in imac i7, its awesome. Its nice being able to have two full-sized windows open side-by-side on the same screen.

wait, is a mac one of those things that look like computers, but don't actually act like them?

They have some good monthly fees, but I don't know what the percentage is. I love my mac
