Why does it only snow at night?

Lately its been snowing, a lot... by british standards (as in its snowing right now).

I love snow, its one of the reasons I want to move to canada but this snow is lame because it creates false hope.

It snows at night but its either melted or frozen by morning so you cant do anything with it, boo!

I'm kind of out of it right now, I've had 4 hours sleep and done a 12 hour shift.

but I cant go to sleep cause I need time to wind down.

The thing I don't get is it always seems warmer oustide when it is snowing as opposed to snow on the ground but not snowing

because cloud coverage reflects the earths warmth back down rather than letting it escape out into the atmosphere - it is kinda like greenhouse effect.

I love snow cause it means it is warmer out
