My parents and I were driving to a bed show room in a near by town and we drove past a man who was standing on the edge of a bridge (he was pretty obviously perched on the other side and not standing on it), he'd taken off his jacket and shirt and hung them on the railing.

Just as we were driving past a person walking on the bridge went up to talk to him

We pulled into a car park after we had gotten off the round about, went into a store then I found out the name of the bridge and called the police.

Fortunately by the time I'd called they'd had a few reports, officers were with him and when we left the shop there was no one on th bridge so hopefully everything was ok.

but yeah that was a strange afternoon.

Yeah me too, I mean he probably wouldnt of hurt himself on the drop down (it was into a canal) but the waters really cold this time of year and I've heard drowning is a pretty horrible death.

Right now there are two thoughts going through my head:

That's horrible. I had a similar experience once, only that time it was too late. When I arrived at a train station, the police was already busy cleaning up the mess, unfortunately they hadn't finished yet.

But anyway, it's these moments in life that you realize how you should appreciate your own life. Hope your guy is ok.

it's effing sad to think that a person feels so low and desperate that their only solution is to take their own life.

such a helpless feeling.

Wow... you know I probably would of found that funny before but actually seeing it in person, I guess not.

I'm really tired right now (I has the flu) so I'm having trouble organising my thoughts right now.
