talking to friends is hard, period

I'm pretty good at awkward silence.

And it sucks when so much time has passed that the only connection you have is talking about the past. :

I ran into my cousin yesterday and I hadn't seen him in months and was really awkward

it's weird when you know people but don't see them and don't know what to say

I feel you dude.

although I met an old friend for the first time in six years this summer and it wasn't awkward at all...but every other conversation or meeting I've had with any other person on the planet has been awkward.

although it's always great when there's that kind of person where you can just pick up any time with them as if nothing has changed.

I think its one of those things where its easier to catch up in person, I mean these two were people I spent at least a couple of hours with every day for 8 months so if I were actually back in Canada it would probably be fine because we'd be able to make plans to hang out but I'm in the UK.

The other problem is I dont have alot going on in my life right now, I have work but thats about it, my friends have gone back to university so I'm on my own and I dont have money to spend on anything.

I'm in need of a big change but I probably wont get that until september next year.

what's going on in september next year?

Also alot of my blogs have been ranty sob stories of late, I'm sorry.

I'm thinking of deleteing.

I have to talk about it with my parents and work out if I can actually afford it, but I might be going back to Canada for a year to study web design.

So I'll be starting in the september school year.

My friend I was talking to suggested that after I'm done with that I should apply to work for the goverment, apparantly they pretty much take anyone on with a degree and its hard to get sacked because the unions are very strong.

oh that'd be really sweet.

I live in cheshire which is in the northwest of england, I live about 30 minutes over the boarder with north wales.

Yeah, if everything works out I'll be one step closer to immigration which is my ultimate goal.

Its a really nice place to live, alot of country side, its one of the few places in the UK where you do need a car.

yep! yeah, we definitely should. i'll hopefully be studying at the manchester business school for spring semester.

Oh man that will be sweet, we should also go down to london for a UK meet up, I still havent been to one.

Manchesters an amazing city so much to do, not much tourist stuff but lots of shops, bars and cinemas (they have one of the best indie cinemas in the country).
