Brian are you still at work? or are you home? could you help me with the changing the video codec thingy?

So I switched to media player classic and it sort of worked, the video didnt lag but a slightly bigger problem... it didnt play the subtitles which I'm guessing arent just pasted on the video but encoded to a seperate layer.

I dont know how to get that to work and they were playing on vlc (even though it was lagging) so if I could get vlc to work that would be amazing.

thank you

p.s I owe you.

----------------------------
I recently downloaded the new version because I was updating my computer but when I watch video's in it, it lags. Like the music will be playing but the images wont be keeping up with it or it freezes all together.

This wouldnt be too bad if I was streaming it but I'm not I downloaded the show.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Can someone suggest me another good player?

I use the combined community codec pack. Which comes with Media Player Classic and Zoom Player. I usually use MPC for everything, which is super for subbed anime.

I use vlc 0.8.6d and never had any serious trouble with it, but I'm curious too if there is something better out there.

try changing your video codec. it should be under the advance options under video. i don't have VLC at work so i can't walk you through it right now, but if i remember when i get home i'll let you know.

VLC is the best.

It can slow down/speed up video and still plays the sound, which is something I use in my job all the time.

I used to love vlc player but the new version sucks balls, I tried it on both my computers and it just didnt work.

I might go back to it if they fix it.

Thanks man.

I'd offer street team points as a thank you but with my financial situation the way it is, well I wont be buying tees any time soon.

P.S dont rush yourself, I'm not in a hurry plus I'll be going to bed in a couple of hours.

thank you.

did you turn on the subtitles under the video menu? that's the only thing i could think of. if i had a video that used subtitles i could try different things, but i don't at the moment.
